The Muslim Healthcare Professional Association was established on 18th October 2004 for the exchange of ideas between healthcare professionals interested in Islamic principles in Medicine.

Our vision is to have “ A Healthier Ummah (Community) ”

The Ummah refers to the collective Islamic community which may not only refer to those that are present in Singapore but also to regional Islamic communities and beyond. The word Ummah was chosen as it represents the community that this organization wants to help and assist.

Our mission is to form “A network of Healthcare Professionals practising Medicine guided by Islamic principles “

This mission statement seeks to address the who, what and how of the vision statement. The target beneficiaries are the Ummah. The building of a network or platform of Muslim Health care professionals means that there must be some form of agreement amongst such professionals to develop such a network. The sharing and application of Islamic knowledge transcends many boundaries. It is thru the light of knowledge that Man has been told to develop and only the application of such knowledge will the vision be achieved.
