Wisdom's Journey

[Event has ended]

“Remember ye implored the assistance of your Lord, And He answered you, ‘I will assist you with a thousand of the angels, ranks on ranks.' 8:9

One of the most frequently asked questions by people searching for an answer about whether they should become Muslim or not is how they know if the time is right. In this talk, Brother Idris Tawfiq reminds us that the answer to that question for each person is a personal one and it differs from individual to individual. Often the stumbling blocks which prevent people from accepting Islam are things which are really not problems at all – Will I have to learn Arabic? Will I have to change my name? In helping someone in their journey towards finding faith, Brother Idris Tawfiq advocates taking good care of them instead of focusing on what they should or should not do. Like faith, we should never take people for granted. Remember, the Muslim community has a great responsibility to care for its new brothers and sisters.
