The former deputy Chief Executive Officer of a private Islamic college in Malaysia, Dr. Magda Ismail Abdel Mohsin holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Civilisation (Islamic Economics) from the International Islamic University Malaysia, having completed her Masters in Economics from the same university.

Dr. Magda has published several papers including "The Revival of the Institution of Waqf in Sudan" and "The Institution of Waqf and its role towards Poverty Alleviation with special reference to Cash-Waqf". She has also published a paper on The Practice of Islamic Banking System in Sudan in Journal of Economic Cooperation Among Islamic Countries. She was in the USA, between 1996 to 2000 under the Educational Visit programme whereby she visited San Jose University, Berkeley University, Stanford University and Santa Clara University. Currently she is a lecturer in the Department of Islamic Financial Markets in INCEIF.
