The panelists will examine deeper on the traits of "A gracious Muslim Community that Inspires and Radiates Blessings to All" and how these traits were the basis of the early Muslims whose contributions in social development, economy and nation building created one of the greatest civilisations in history.

In addition this forum discuss how as Muslims living in a multi-religious country and a secular state can emulate them in playing a better role as contributing members of the society, for the peace, prosperity and progress of the ummah. The forum will be enlightened by nasyid performances, supplications, dhikr and Quranic recitation.

Speaker's Profile

1. Datuk Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar
He is a former deputy vice-chancellor of the International Islamic University of Malaysia. Currently, he is the Chairman of Amanie Group, Chairman of Shariah Advisory Council, Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission Malaysia, Supervisory Board
Shariah, in the Malaysian Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation. (IILM).

He has published two books titled "I Have 25 Hours A day" and "Shariah Minds" and many articles in various academic journals and public apprearances in various conferences around the world. He is also amember of the Shariah Board of the Islamic Market Index of Dow Jones (New York), Muzn Islamic Banking (National Bank of Oman), BNP
Paribas, (Bahrain), Morgan Stanley, (Dubai), Bank of London and Middle East (London). He has a Ph.D., from St. Andrew's University Andrews, Scotland, Bachelor Shariah (Fiqh wa Usuluhu), Kuwait, Bachelor of Jurisprudence, University Malaya, Malaysia.

2. Ustaz Dr Suhaimi Mustar
He is currently the Executive Chairman of the Assyakirin Mosque and Ar-Raudah Mosque. He is Singapore's latest asatizah with the title Dr 'after graduating from Doctor of Philosophy last year (2016) Ustaz Dr Suhaimi received his doctoral degree in the field of Fatwa and Inheritance from the Faculty of Islamic Civilization at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
Originally an Islamic Shariah graduate from the Islamic University of Madinah, he then pursued a Master's degree at the University Islamic Malaysia in the field of Fiqh and Usul Fiqh.

3. Ust Jamalluddin Abdul Wahab (Moderator)
Ustaz Jamaluddin obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Hadith from the Islamic University of Madinah and continued his Master's degree in Usuluddin (Al-Quran & Hadith) at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He also holds a Diploma in Counseling Psychology from Lee Community College. Currently, he serves as an Executive Imam at the Darul Ghufran Mosque, and he is actively engaged in religious talks.
