parental seminar

Assalaamu'alaikum parents and parents-to-be

Instilling calmness and confidence is an important aspect in bringing up successful children. But in today's context where time is a limiting factor, causing both parents and children to feel anxious and restless, how do we ensure that every single moment spent with our children is maximised so as to create a close bond between us and them, which in turn helps them feel calm and confident anywhere?

Join us in our seminar as we explore ways to help raise calm and confident children right from the start - yes, even before birth.

There will be 2 talks by 2 sets of speakers on 2 separate timing of the same day. You can opt to attend either one or both talks if time permits. Most parents will attend both as they complement the other.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talk A is for expecting parents featuring Ustazah Su'aidah Salim who will be sharing on tarbiyah during pregnancy, Doula Jannah who will talk about gentle birthing and its benefits, and Babywearing Consultant Sis Afifah who will explain more on how babywearing promotes calmness and bonding between parent and child.

Speakers: Ustazah Su'aidah Salim, Doula Jannah Tayib, Sis Nur Afifah Mokhtiaruddin

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talk B features Bro Abu Sufian, a senior social worker who spent a year taking his grad cert in Family Therapy from King's College London, UK, Sis Aisyah from MuslimParents.SG who used to work with children and parents in her past experience as a senior social worker, and Ustaz Hafiz Kusairi, a lecturer and youth activist who works with young adults on a daily basis. They will share on how to use play and other activities to promote bonding between parent and child which in turn helps create a calm and confident child.

Speakers: Muhd Abu Sufian, Nuraisyah Rashid, Hafiz Kusairi
