This workshop is conducted to expose the participants to another form of Arabic Calligraphy, that is the

Maghribi script. This form of calligraphy originated from Morocco. As a first run, this 2-months initiative

will focus on beginners. By the end of the module, participants will be able to write short surahs from the

Quran and their names in Maghribi script.

The module will be conducted on every Tuesday.

Time: 7.30pm – 9.30pm

Target Age : 10 and above.

Max capacity per class : 12 participants

Cost : $90/monthly *inclusive of writing materials and certificate.

Duration : 2 hours

All worksheets, writing materials and Starter Kit would be prepared by Fathiah Calligraphy.

Objectives:

1 ­ To expose participants to the Islamic calligraphy, in particular the Maghribi script .

2 ­ To spark interest in learning more about Islamic art.

3 ­ To be able to try out and feel the essence of Islamic calligraphy.
