Syariah laws are being legislated and implemented in SE Asia – Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore. These laws always have implications for women's rights. More often than not, this has led to human rights violation and erosion of progresses which had been made in the past in reducing gender discrimination towards Muslim women. This talk highlight some of these laws.

Food will be provided for breaking fast.
