Alhamdulillah, the Singapore Management University Muslim Society and, in collaboration with Malaysia's Crescent Collective and the Caravan of Praise initiative, are organising the Singapore chapter of the Caravan of Praise event entitled "Ode to the Prophet".
Prophet Muhammad, Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him, is the fountainhead of a Muslim's guidance and the light by which we tread the straight path. Allah has commanded believers to send praises and salutations to Prophet Muhammad in abundance. Many Islamic scholars and poets have written endless poetry and odes to express their love for Prophet Muhammad. The speaker and reciters in this Caravan of Praise event will share the importance of developing our love for Prophet Muhammad (s), and they will expound on how the expressions of poetry or art in praises of Allah and Prophet Muhammad are among the approaches for a Muslim in seeking closeness to Allah and developing his/her love for Prophet Muhammad.
The event will feature the eminent Islamic scholar, Shaykh Ahmad Saad Al-Azhari, Director of the Ihsan Institute for Arabic & Islamic Studies (UK), and remarkable artists from Malaysia - The Muhibbain (Erwan & Adib), Andy Flop Poppy, Hafiedz Udu and Syech Razie.
