HE ANNUAL ISLAMIC GIFT ECONOMY IS BACK AGAIN THIS TIME WITH A THEME,

'WEALTH IN GIVING'!

An interesting line up of topics will be discussed by reputable speakers. An abundance of knowledge awaits to be discovered this coming January 2015!

Wealth in Giving broadly comprises of the concept of wealth, and giving based on Islamic principles. We aim to change the socio-economic paradigms that affects our behaviour and attitude towards wealth and to instil concept of giving based on Islamic Gift Economy (IGE) framework involving an economics of abundance, never an economics of scarcity.




The framework of IGE aims to provide a solution to pressing economic problems. The workshop will focus more on operationalizing the practice of IGE by reviving selected mechanisms of religious, social and commercial exchange, like partnerships, investments and amanah.




Our event will consist of a 2-part series comprising of a forum and a workshop.
