The people of 'Ad (the tribe during Prophet Hud a.s) were one of those who are given great strength and tall in height - who builds buildings that are unrivaled during their time.....

But at the same time, they were the people who deny Prophet Hud a.s when he tells them about worshipping Allah and, the Day of Judgement.

Their reply? 

إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ

"There is nothing but our life in this world! We shall die and we live! But we shall never be raised up again!" (Surah Mu'minun : 37)

The chief of tribe also said to Prophet Hud a.s. that "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink." 

Seems logical while at the same time, sounds familiar and similar to the modern times?

Ustaz Khairul Zaman is an enthusiast reader especially in the fields of philosophy and he is passionate in doing Dakwah. Ustaz Khairul Zaman furthered his studies at Yarmouk University Jordan, majoring in Islamic Theology. He is currently pursuing his second degree in Hadith studies at University of Madinah.
