Manager (Communications and Fundraising)

Position Reports to: Head of Agency

The Manager (Fundraising and Communications) to drive corporate communications and community partnership for the organization and work closely with the Head of Agency in fundraising and meeting the set target by the Board of Management.

The incumbent is responsible to conceptualize, design, implement and administer key services and initiatives namely corporate functions, community engagement, public communication, donor and fundraising for the organization.

1. Work closely with the Head of Agency to identify funding needs and direction before developing relevant programmes and campaigns.

2. Scan, research, strategise and cultivate positive relationships with a network of donors from a variety of sources, including individuals, corporations and foundations.

3. Develop fundraising proposals and deliver presentations.

4. Manage public relations and marketing communication for all media channels - broadcast, digital, social media, events and print etc.

5. Communicate and promote mission, vision and programmes to external stakeholders and potential donors.

6. Identify and apply for relevant grants and financial aids.

7. Donor Management – maintain and update records and liaise with different business units.

8. Maintain a high level of confidentiality with respect to prospects and donors.

9. Provide detailed reports to the Donors with respect to the utilization of donations.

Candidate Requirements

Technical Competencies:

- Well-versed in Social Media, digital marketing, social media and blogging software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Core Competencies:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong in planning and execution with the ability to drive processes and delivery
- Able to work independently and self-directed
- Possess critical thinking, strategic planning, effective time management skills

Preferred achievements / characteristics:

- Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing (including Digital Marketing), Communications, Public Relations.
- Min 3-5 years or more of experience in planning and leading non-profit fundraising.
- Able to start immediately
