About the teacher
Our teacher Ustaz Shaaban Hashem is an original from Egypt, holds an Honours Degree in Syariah & Law from the University of Al-Azhar, Egypt .
He is ex-lecture in Al-Azhar Egypt, He has given the approval by the People's Association (PA) as the Activity Instructor in conducting the Arabic Language at Community Centres/Clubs.
Certified by Muis (ARS) system and now the owner of Islah Islamic Studies and Arab Hub

Experience in teaching
Ustaz Shaaban Hashem has more than 20 years experienced in teaching Arabic language in Egypt, Malaysia and Singapore, almost 15 years teaching in Syariah. In Singapore, he was previously teaching in Madrasah Al-Irsyad for almost 3 years. He teaches Spoken Arabic at MINDEF in Nee Soon Camp. He also teaches Arabic language at other organization and mosques.

Course details
The course consists of 3 modules and the duration is 12 lessons per module

a. Module I program syllabus
i. Introduction to Arabic language
ii. Introduction of writing 'jawi' (Arabic writing)
iii. Pronunciation of 'makhraj' (tone of words)
iv. Learn to differentiate the letter that is similar in 'makhraj'
v. Intro of Spoken Arabic words
vi. Learn ‘mufradat' (word vocabulary)

b. Module II program syllabus
i. Learn more ‘mufradat' (word vocabulary)
ii. Basic daily speeches
iii. Conversation practices
iv. Correct pronunciation of words & sentences
v. Audio & software learning (recommended software)


c. Module III program syllabus
i. Construct and converse daily speech sentences
ii. More conversation practice & exercises
iii. Basic business conversation
iv. More Audio practices
v. Learn cultural & traditional life of the Arabs
vi. Understand the differences of Arab language in other Arab countries
