The stories of the Sahabahs (companions of the Prophet) need to be studied, internalised and emulated so as to benefit from it. They have been chosen by Allah to menifest the teachings of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace & blessings be upon him), through their beautiful character.

Their stories will increase our iman and piety but will increase Allah's blessings upon us for intending to emulate their footsteps.

Allah mentions about them in surah Al-Bayyinah verse 8: "Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him".
