The lives of our fellow brothers and sisters in Syria and Palestine are in turmoil. Many Syrians have been forced to leave their homeland, and are now holed up in refugee camps and temporary make-up homes in Turkey. Some are even forced to sleep on the streets and have to resort to begging to feed their hunger and survive.

Likewise, in Palestine, homes have been destroyed from the ravages of war. And the Palestinians are still struggling to come by food and rebuild their homeland.

Qiswah feels compelled to help in whatever way we can. Stitching Lives is the manifestation of that vision to provide hope and support to our fellow conflict-stricken brothers and sisters in Syria and Gaza.

Named Stitching Lives to depict the act of helping to stitch back the lives of those uprooted and torn apart from their families and homes in the war-torn regions of Syria and Palestine, Stitching Lives is designed to provide an outlet for Singaporeans to help the innocents suffering as a result of the conflicts in war-torn Syria and Palestine.

The event will revolve around a cross-stitch mass-sewing event that will be accessible to all, without prejudice to race, religion age or gender. Participants will stitch a simple personalised message in a cross-stitch format (sewing kits will be provided). These personalised messages will share a theme of peace and hope of a better future, and will be shared amongst participants at the event to show solidarity and support.

Over 5,000 blankets will be given to Syrian refugees after the event. And, from the proceeds and donations gathered at the event, humanitarian aid packs and kits as well as financial support will purchased and donated to both Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Turkey and Palestine.

You can make this a success. For just S$15 (proceeds will be used to provide blankets and humanitarian aid to Syrian and Palestinian refugees), you can help save lives and ease hardships for Syrian and Palestinian refugees. Tickets can be purchased from the link below.
