Today is 17 Jamadi-al-Awwal, the date when occurred in Islamic history the Battle of Jamal in 36 After Hijrah. A black spot in the hearts of many still living today because the Ummah became more politically broken.

1398 years has passed after the caliphate of Ali r.a. , we are in 1434 A.H. In Singapore, we are united by two blessed events, Insya Allah.

Lessons Learnt:

The factions broke the Ummah and the Mahzabs differentiate within the Ummah. But Eschatology unites the Ummah. It reminds everyone of Yaumul Qiyamah (Surah 75 http://www.islamicevents.sg/quran.php?c=75). Belief in the hereafter is the 5th pillar of Islam, after Tawheed, existence of Angels, Revealed Kitabs, Prophets or Anbiya and closing with the Supremacy of Allah’s Taqdir or Predestination.

Prophet’s Wish For “Ummati!” despite Allah’s revelation

Remember:

According to Al-Asma’ wal sifat, where a qudsi tradition is quoted, the Messenger of Allah heard during the Night of Isra (the night journey to Jerusalem) a praising in the high heavens saying:

Subhan al-`Aliyy al-A`la, Subnahu wa Ta`ala, that is, “Glory to the Most High, Glory to Him and Exaltation.”

Iyas ibn Salmah has quoted his father saying that he had heard the Messenger of Allah starting every supplication by saying,

“Subhana al-A`la al-Wahhab,” “Glory to the Most High, the ever- Giving.”

Allah, please do not humiliate us in this world and the hereafter. We humble ourselves to you. Ameen
