Overview of Workshop:
Employers want job candidates with strong communication skills. Similarly, educational success also requires the ability to articulate your thoughts clearly. In this anticipated one-day workshop, you will learn the principles of public speaking; and be involved in a highly engaging workshop to tangibly improve your skill-set through a series of theoretical and practical assessments.
Unlike other generic and very expensive communication courses, this seminar will identify common weak areas and establish workable methods to overcome them. Participants will learn to overcome their nerves for example, be able to organise ideas in their speech, adapt body language and exhibit their voice appropriately; and other traits that make a public speaker successful.
Outcomes:
This workshop is intended to help participants overcome their fear of public speaking and to acquire basic public speaking skills. It provides an strong foundation for anyone intending to become an outstanding speaker and communicator. It will provide tools to overcome nervousness, boost confidence and increase professionalism by teaching techniques enabling you to overcome these impediments. At the end of the course, participants will be able to typically compose and deliver speeches and presentations with confidence they never thought possible. They will be able to analyse target audience and tailor their presentation accordingly for maximum impact, as well as expand on key points to ensure clarity.

Instructor:
Syahrul ‘Afif Mashkur holds a BSc in Business Management from the University of Bradford (UK). Driven by his interest in human psychology and passion to help others, he holds Diplomas in Master Hypnotist and Hypnotherapy from the National Guild of Hypnotists (USA) and is a certified hypnotherapist. He is also ACTA certified.
He has over 8 years of experience within a variety of industries including healthcare, consumer products, training, IT and consultancy. He is well-travelled and engaged companies such as Tata Communications and Expresso (Germany). His clients include Halliburton, MINDEF, Statschippac, Peopleís Association and MUIS.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of a Singapore-based firm providing a wide range of marketing services and training programmes, with a particular focus on actualising individual and organisational goals.
