- Knowing the branches of 'Ulum al-qur'an, e.g: The divisions of the text, style, literary form

- Understanding of the text / script e.g: asbab al-nuzul (Occasions of Revelation), Rasm Uthmani (Uthmanic Scripture)

1) The Qur'an and Revelation

2) Transmission of the Qur'anic Revelation

3) The Qur'an in Manuscript and Print

4) Form, Language and Style

5) Understanding the Text and Occasion of Revelation (Asbabul Nuzul)

6) The Appearance of different understanding to the Ayaah.
